The Prologue

It's almost 11:00 P.M. and I should be going to sleep. I took my medication that helps with the nightmares, but not so much the anxiety that I have going to bed because I'm so scared of having another one. The Prologue for, "Plot Line" was incredibly hard to write and draw. I'm not the best artist, but I wanted to get across how scary a nightmare can be. Particularly the page of the man kneeling over the girl and the page where Harper almost escapes were unsettling for me, which meant to me that I achieved my goal. It's based off a nightmare I've had before, but I wanted to start with this because it sets the base for the whole plot and motive of the story, to figure why Harper is having them. This is probably the darkest scene of the comic, but the rest is just as honest.

The acoustic single, "Nightmare" was inspired by the Prologue as well as my own nightmares that I have frequently. I had a hard time trying to figure out how to write this song, but turns out writing fiction makes it easier to verbalize the experiences they're based off of sometimes. I also wrote it after having a nightmare and couldn't go back to sleep, so that helps too.

For the people who have read it, what are your thoughts? What are your thoughts on the single? Also, would you prefer I put the comic out as each chapter is completed in PDF form and then sell the full comic later or just wait until the full comic is completed? Let me know!
